Gene - DNA segment that contains the genetic code for
producing a protein (Inproteomics)
Transcription – Making an RNA copy from a sequence
of DNA (a gene). Transcription is the first step in gene expression.(Medterms)
Triplet (codon) – sequence of three nucleotides
that codes for a certain amino acid or signals the termination
of translation (stop or termination codon) (Genetests)
